Angelina
Angelina is currently a high school Junior studying at Westfield High School. She has been playing the violin for almost 8 years and started playing volleyball in 6th grade. At school, she is a part of many clubs and activities, including the Science Olympiad, math honor society, national honor society, and Chamber + Symphonic orchestra. When she has free time, she loves to binge-watch Netflix and Kdramas. One of her favorite things to do is travel around the world. Over the summer, she went to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy. She joined Fluenspeak the summer before her junior year and loves this program!
Ariel
Hi! I am Ariel! Nice to meet you! I am currently a sophomore at Basis International School Guangzhou. I am passionate about humanities subjects such as history, literature, and art. Reading books, watching movies, and listening to music are my hobbies!
Connie
Growing up in Shanghai, Connie has been attending YCIS for 15 years. She enjoys time with children, and that is the main reason why she joined Fluenspeak! She loves watching TV while getting her own nails done, reading novels by Kevin Kwan, and preparing her outfits even though she has to wear uniform 5 days a week. Upon joining Fluenspeak in July, Connie has read fiction and non-fiction texts with her lovely students and is aiming to start and finish a short novel. Cynthia
Cynthia is a high school sophomore in Princeton, New Jersey. She is a ballet dancer, piano player, and golfer. In her free time, she loves to listen to music, play with her four-year-old Doberman, and garden. She has also gotten into kpop recently, as she was dragged to a SEVENTEEN concert by one of her friends. While at Fluenspeak, Cynthia hopes to promote mutual understanding between Chinese and American students.
Elisa
Elisa (Yang Zhi Fei) is a high school student of 2024, studying at Shanghai YK Pao school. Her favorite subjects are business, psychology, and language and literature. During her free time, she likes to play badminton, watch suspense movies, and research studies of consumer psychology. She started Fluenspeak in 2022’s summer holiday because of her passion for kids and English.
Elsa
My name is Elsa, I am currently a high school sophomore who currently study in the states. I really enjoy learning literacy and art in school. And join the school snowboarding team and cycling team is also something that I am really into. During my free time, I would like to paint, watch Netflix, and hang out with my friends. I join Fluenspeak this summer and I would like to continue helping more students to improve their English.
Kalson
Kalson is a friendly guy who loves to spend his time talking to people either it being his friend or family. He can be readjusting at times and knows what to say in certain situations. He is a fast thinker being able to make out solutions for difficult situations. Currently he is in 10th grade studying in New York City. He loves to spend his free time either talking to people, binging his favorite anime or playing mobile games. Even though he jokes around a lot, he can be serious at times when it’s appropriate.
Kirara
Kirara is currently in 10th grade studying at Shanghai Jincai International High school Division. She was born in Japan and came to Shanghai at the age of two months old so she’s been in an international environment her whole life. She is very passionate about music and she’s currently in a musical group. She loves to dance to random songs and make her friend laugh. Not only is she passionate about music but she loves playing sports and is part of her school volleyball team. Kirara believes that language is very important because it helps people connect with each other and she wants to be a bridge to helping others being able to express themselves better.
Meiyi
MeiYi is currently a high school senior studying at Nagoya International School. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports and trying out different recipes she finds online. MeiYi is passionate about her students and proud of every improvement they have shown. She joined Fluenspeak the summer before her senior year and is absolutely enjoying every session she has with her students.
Mia
Hi there! My name is Mia崔竞天. I am currently a high school junior studying in Shanghai GeZhi high school. I’m an outgoing person and I enjoy communicating and socializing. I go on well with kids. I started to learn different formats of art and music since I was 4 years old. In my spare time, I like reading books and poems, watching movies, singing and photographing. I hope I can create a good language environment for students.
Miriam
Miriam is a high school junior currently studying at Hong Wen International School in Taichung. She enjoys reading romance novels and daydreaming about them while she listens to Taylor Swift in her free time. As an anxious girl, it is quite ironic that she is also an avid Kdrama binge-watcher—because who doesn’t love fiction! Being an experienced English tutor for children, she joined Fluenspeak in the summer before her junior year and loves it.
Nicole
Hello I am Nicole, a current sophomore high school student. My hobbies are singing and dancing, especially K-pop dance. My friends always say I’m a social butterfly, which means I am very nice to everyone, and I agree. I am here to help kids who want to learn English but face some difficulties. Let’s talk freely!
Sophia
Hi! My name is Sophia and I’m currently a high-school student at Shanghai American School. I am a ballet dancer, a piano performer, a volleyball player and a swimmer. I also have passion for theater and have performed in numerous plays. I have also been posting some theater videos on my YouTube channel (TheaterSL). In addition, I enjoy writing poetry and articles. You can find my writings on my WeChat Official account 流光亖玥 and other posts like Shanghai Student Post. My favorite subjects are Math and Economics. I take an active part in the Math Honor Society and multiple economic clubs. I joined Fluenspeak this autumn as I am very interested in communicating with others.
Vicky
Vicky is a Senior school student at Appleby College. She loves reading, drawing, and cats. Unfortunately, she had never had a cat in her life. She also likes teaching and helping others. It is Vicky’s dream to become a guidance counselor or teacher.
Wenwan
Wenwan is currently a high school senior studying at Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences in New York. In her free time, she enjoys reading all kinds of stories and novels, playing volleyball, and attempting to master the art of doodling. She was involved in Fluenspeak the summer before her senior year, hoping to help more people improve their English skills and find more possibilities in their life.
